2 Skein Chenille Pet or Doll Blanket – Free Pattern

Posted on April 20, 2013October 13, 2024 by Karen

When I made a baby blanket out of Bernat Baby Blanket yarn my cats loved it so much that I wanted to make a small blanket for my cats. This pattern took about 11/2 to 2 hours to finish, depending on how fast you crochet. This is probably such a common pattern that it is…

Cat Rug

Posted on July 9, 2012October 13, 2024 by Karen

I acquired quite a bit of odds and ends acrylic yarn, mostly Red Heart, so used it to make some Cat Rugs using this pattern, this link goes to Ravelry and has different pics than the link with the actual pattern. I made quite few of these. They took me a little longer than 20…

CD Hot Mat

Posted on July 8, 2012October 13, 2024 by Karen

Do you have any CD’s that aren’t any good, too many scratches, or maybe your CD burner didn’t burn the CD properly and ruined your CD. Don’t throw them away, make one of these. I made this pattern today, it was pretty quick, but I think the pattern needs revised a little. It was an…

Posted on June 24, 2012 by Karen

I made this baby hat for my daughters’ friend who is pregnant. Due in November/December. The pattern I used for the hat was super easy and really cute! I crocheted a little flower just in case she has a girl, if she has a boy I will put a little pom pom on the top.

Baby Boy Afghan

Posted on November 22, 2011October 13, 2024 by Karen

I started this afghan the beginning of May 2011. It is a really easy pattern but takes a lot longer than I’m used to in making an afghan. I am over half way done, but it has been a little over a month. Here is the link to the pattern. I finished this afghan in…

My daughter is going to school at UW, so she wanted Wyoming Cowboys decor for her kitchen. Here’s what I came up with. The potholder pattern is from an out of print Leisure Arts pattern, the Coaster pattern is (…). I think it took me a couple of weekends to crochet this set, it went…

Posted on October 16, 2011October 13, 2024 by Karen

My got this pattern from Etsy. I gave this one to my oldest daughter. It was simple and quick, the only thing I didn’t like was the pattern for the hearts that came with the doily pattern, so I searched the internet and found this one.

Heart’s Desire Doily

Posted on October 2, 2011October 13, 2024 by Karen

Here is my second doily. I actually started this one before my first finished doily. I put this one down for about a month, then picked it up again after finishing my first doily. I used Aunt Lydia’s® “Shimmer” Fashion crochet thread, it’s a white thread, but has a slight gray tone to it, although…

My First Doily – Sand Dollar Doily

Posted on October 1, 2011October 13, 2024 by Karen

I have made other, well kind of doilies in the past. I used round dishcloth patterns and used regular worsted weight yarn. This is my actual first real doily using #3 crochet thread. In the past I tried using #10, but it was way too small, I just couldn’t get my fingers and eyes to…

Posted on June 6, 2011October 13, 2024 by Karen

I have made another set of potholders. These were for my daughter now that she is married. I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream self striping cotton yarn. I used an out of print Leisure Arts pattern. My daughter has decided to keep these for more of keepsake rather than using them.
